new pic for list goals

Ok…so today is the 5th day of February & I realized that I forgot to share my resolutions/goals with you. I make them every year & they help to keep me focused, accountable, & motivated. So in the spirit of sharing, I’m going to list my 2015 goals. They are:

1)Learn 2 languages—ASL & spanish

I’m already conversant in spanish (I used to help deliver babies in spanish when I was a delivery nurse). The plan is to spend the first 6 months of the year learing spanish, and the last 6 months learning ASL. Now…I do realize that 6 months isnt enough time to master a language, but it’s been done before & I’m a quick learner. I’m hoping to become conversant in ASL and improve my fluency in spanish.

With my spanish goal, I have the Rosetta Stone program, I plan to watch tv in spanish for at least 30 minutes 3 days a week, & since so many people around me are fluent in spanish, I can practice speaking with them.

I don’t have an ASL game plan yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

2)Run my 1st 5K race

I’ve always wanted to do a race & so I plan on doing one this year. I haven’t decided on which one yet, but I have a couple that I’m considering. The benefit of doing a run is that it will help me commit to my fitness goals.

3)Read 24 books this year

That’s just 2 books per month, so it’s totally practical. I’ve already read 3 books last month. I feel like my reading to do list is getting out of control, so committing to this goal will help me to tackle my reading list.

4)Meditate every day

Meditation helps to keep my mind clear, my thoughts crisp, my energy high, my spirit pure, & it helps me to be more productive on a daily basis.

5)Take at least 1 international trip

It’s been like 2 years since I’ve taken a real vacation…I need one desperately!!!!!! I’ve been in business mode for the past few years working on my goal of becoming 100% location independent. Now that I’ve accomplished that goal, I’d like to travel more. I haven’t decided on where I’ll go (I’m debating between Egypt & Uruguay for now), but there will definitely be at least one trip this year.

6)And last but not least, this is the year that I plan on paying off the rest of my student loans!!!!

This one is pretty self explanatory.

That’s the end of the list for now….

Well, that’s it for my goals. I’ll do a mid year check-in to update you on my progress, until then I’ll just plan on remaining as focused as possible. I’d love to hear about your 2015 goals /plans/resolutions. Feel free to share them below…
