Sometimes it takes another person to point out your greatness. Sometimes we get so caught up in building and structuring our ideal lives, that we forget to celebrate our successes. You can really be so blinded by the bubble you feel trapped in that you’ve become invisible to yourself.
Today was one of those days for me. My life is changing is so many ways (new chapter, new city, new career direction, etc) and I just got lost in the overwhelm. All I could see was how many balls I had to juggle and I was full of fear about what would happen if I dropped one. I also lost sight of all that I’ve accomplished and how I was slowly moving into alignment with my desired path.
My fear caused me to forget that I have support structures in place to help me continue to master the art of juggling. I also have some awesome people in my life that help keep me grounded and would we willing to lend me an extra hand or a supportive ear if I needed it.
A couple of hours ago, I was speaking to a friend of mine over the phone. I’m not gonna lie, when I first started talking to him, I was in a sunken place. He graciously volunteered some words of wisdom to remind me that I am already on the path I was looking to be on and that I was not as lost as I thought I was. He also reminded me that I don’t really have to juggle a million balls at once…there’s a more balanced (& less draining) way to build.
I say all this to say…shoutout to all the incredible people in the world who don’t mind pointing out the brightness of someone else’s light.
And to those of you who may be feeling down, stuck, and confused, don’t be afraid to reach out to someone so that they can help you regain some clarity. It could be a friend, family member, or social media buddy. A simple “I’m dealing this this problem. Can you help me brainstorm some solutions?” is a great place to start.
Long story short…you are already great so don’t you forget it!!!
