I like to think of this blog as a safe zone for big dreamers trapped in lives they’ve outgrown.
At least that was my goal when I started this site. This is a place where people can feel welcomed to think outside of the box, supported when stepping onto new territory, and embraced whenever they need a little encouragement.
What do you do when you hate your job & you feel completely stuck?
Where do you go when you feel alone?
Who do you turn to when you feel like no one “sees” you?
How do you move forward when life has you by the balls?
(here’s a clue: keep reading!!!)
I don’t have all the answers, but I’m dedicated to searching, testing out, and interviewing people willing to share information that will help you. You know who you are. You’re the person feeling frustrated, confused, overwhelmed, & at a loss about where to go next. You want to LIVE and not just be ALIVE. What you may not know is that you’re not alone.
The Quarter Life Revamp is for people who are at a career crossroads & are looking for some extra tools, inspiration, & support as they cross over onto unknown territory. This place is for people just recoginzing that they’re in a quarter life crisis and for the recovered quarter lifer….there’s light at the end of the tunnel people!!!!
You just have to keep moving forward.
Ok ok..let me introduce myself. My name is Malorie & I’m a recovered quarter-lifer.
I know how you’re feeling. I’ve been there. And since I’ve spent about 5 years learning how to overcome that brutal period of my life (the one that so many young adults seem to experience), I decided to create this blog so that I could share all of the useful tips, tricks, & tools that helped me to recover from that discouraging space.
I was a delivery room nurse for over 7 years. Although I had many beautiful experiences helping to bring babies into the world, I knew that it was time for me to move onto something else. The struggle began there because I had absolutely NO CLUE what it was that I wanted to do!!! Here I was in my mid-twenties and I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Imagine that???
One thing I always enjoyed doing was helping other people learn to make money doing the things they enjoyed. I was always sending people cool career ideas that I felt would be a great match for them. That’s when it hit me…”Why don’t I become a career consultant?” Long story short, that’s what I did.
I started my practice at the end of 2012 & it was the best decision of my life. It led me down an incredible path of location independent living. I no longer take on coaching clients, but I started this blog in 2014 to be a resource for other quarter-lifers looking to redesign their lives.
Some Fun facts about me:
-I love to travel (& am committed to doing a lot more in the near future)
-I love mastiffs (I used to own a cane corso named Maya)
-I play the keyboard
-I love yoga & meditation (I’m actually a 200hr trained yoga instructor)
-I’m a non-stop smiler who loves to laugh
-I’m a heath nut
-& I’m obsessed with learning about building businesses & creating wealth
Thanks so much for stopping by & checking out this awesome tribe of quarter lifers committed to revamping our lives on our own terms.
